Ashmore Colombia announces the integration of Colegio Bilingüe Richmond into the Legacy Schools network Colombia

Ashmore Andean Fund III and Fondo Ashmore Andino III have acquired a majority stake in Colegio Bilingüe Richmond, a leading private school in Bogotá.

Colegio Bilingüe Richmond is recognized for its strong academic standards, human-centred approach, and vibrant school community. For over 37 years, it has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, values-driven education and preparing well-rounded individuals to contribute positively to society.

This acquisition marks another key milestone for Ashmore, in expanding Legacy Schools, its growing network of private institutions. The initiative aims to support high-quality schools, strengthen their long-term impact, preserve their identity and values, and promote social development through education—while delivering attractive, risk-adjusted returns to investors.

“Colegio Bilingüe Richmond is a school with a strong culture and a clear long-term vision, which makes it a natural fit for Legacy Schools. This investment reflects our broader focus on social infrastructure and builds on our experience supporting education platforms that are both mission-driven and financially resilient. Through Legacy Schools, we support schools in strengthening their long-term sustainability while preserving the identity and values that underpin their success, creating enduring value for both their communities and our investors” said the CEO of Ashmore Colombia, Juan Pablo Fonseca.
