This strategy invests in equity and equity-related instruments within the Emerging Markets including global, regional, small cap and frontier opportunities. These instruments may be denominated in any currency.

The majority of Ashmore's Emerging Markets equities strategies are managed by AshmoreEMM. The Investment Philosophy has four main pillars which underlay the investment case for Emerging Markets equities.

• Top-down country allocation helping to identify markets that are trading below their fair value and diversify portfolio risk
