Indonesia’s Jokowi reappointed reformist Indrawati as Finance Minister. In Lebanon, Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced sweeping budgetary reforms following protests. Hong Kong repealed a controversial extradition bill. Modi suffers setback in local elections in India. All sanctions against Turkey were removed after a permanent ceasefire was agreed in northern Syria.
